Hello, Lovies!

I’m Katy Marie, and I love a lot of things.

First off, I love my new husband. We were married September, 27th 2014, and he is my favorite person in the world, even if sometime he’s a little grumpy. He’s so supportive and encourages me in everything I do. A lot of time he does it by making fun of me, and not everyone gets it. I guess that’s the beauty of marriage though, you get to share things between the two of you that no one else understands!

I know everyone says “I’m married to my best friend!” But seriously, how can you look at this photo and think anything BUT that we are besties forever.

Moving on.. Second, I love my dog Loki. She’s the coolest, and you’ll probably see a post about her from time to time. Yes, she’s named after Thor’s brother. From the movie, not the Nordic religion. Why do I say this? Because I LOVE Chris Hemsworth AKA Thor, so no I do not think it would be “cooler” if she were named after Nordic culture, even though I guess she still technically is, but whatever, I don’t claim this. And Chris Hemsworth, if you ever visit Amarillo, TX feel free to stop by my house any time! Ok, I love my husband, I swear. Back to Loki. She’s named that because I thought as a husky, she’s much more suited with the name of an Ice Giant.

This leads me to my next thing I love. I love being a nerd, it’s my favorite! Harry Potter is my all time favorite, but I also love Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek (and not just because my boy Thor is in the 2009 one), The Hunger Games, Marvel Movies, DC Movies, all of them. You wanna get me going? Have me start talking about Harry Potter and I share a birthday, and how that made me twice as disappointed when I didn’t get a letter from Hogwarts on my 11th birthday. Or have me explain to you the connections between all of the Marvel movies, because seriously, the Marvel Universe is so epic, and with the long awaited arrival of The Guardians of the Galaxy, it just got like 20 times MORE epic. I can’t find a picture of the time that Nathan and I dressed up as Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom for Halloween, but sometime when it’s not almost 1 AM I will dig that photo out, and get it on here!

Finally, I will get to the love that has brought us all here today: PHOTOGRAPHY! Photography has been a passion of mine since about 2006, and I have been professionally at it since 2009. I love shooting all sorts of photos. I love portraits of families, couples, seniors, children, and everything in between! I also love to shoot more artistic and landscape photography.
